Absolutely! We offer digital packages for Corporate events, as well as for Weddings, Birthdays, Mitzvahs, Company Parties, Graduations, Retirement Parties, and more! We have a team of experienced Digital Caricaturists to create both cute and funny caricatures with a touch of style and sophistication at your next event!
How are Digital Caricatures created?
Digital Caricatures are hand-drawn like traditional caricatures, starting with a blank page, err…screen. Our artists provide a 24″ monitor for guest-viewing of the entire drawing process from start to finish, while they wait their turn to be “‘tooned”. Drawings are created with a stylus, with drawing and painting tools built right into the tablet. No messy pastels or paints, or markers running dry, just bright, vibrant drawings to raise the vibe of your event!
Should I have Traditional or Digital Caricatures for my event?
Traditional Caricatures are an excellent choice for picnics and festivals since no electricity is required, unless at night. Most drawings are created in black and white on 8×10-11×14 paper, and placed in a clear plastic sleeve.
Digital Caricatures are created in black and white or color, and recommended for indoor events only. Black and white Digital Caricatures are created a little faster than Traditional Caricatures, since the screen is smaller, and drawing ink never runs out! Standard 4×6 print-outs and clear plastic sleeves make it easy for guests to carry around and show off their artwork at upscale events, or add to their badge holder at conventions or trade shows. Guests can also download their drawings to post on social media! With your logo on the paper, your brand will appear for a large audience every time the image is shared! Power and shelter from heat, sun, wind, and rain are required at all times for Digital Caricatures.
How many caricatures can you draw per hour?
For Traditional Caricatures, each artist can typically draw an average of 10-15 drawings in black and white per hour, 6-8 drawings in color. For Digital Caricatures, up to 17 drawings can be created per hour in black and white, about 8-10 in color.
What do you require for set up at an event?
For Traditional Caricatures, we require the venue to supply 2-3 chairs per artist, and an approximately 5’x 5′ space for drawing indoors or outdoors away from heat, sun, and rain. A side-table is helpful but not required. In a low-lit room, or at night, access to power within 5 feet of set up is required.
For each Digital Caricaturist, we require the venue to supply a low, round cocktail table, or 4 foot rectangular table, with 2-3 chairs, and a power outlet within 5 feet of the set up, indoors. Sun, heat, rain, and even strong winds can destroy the equipment. In some cases an exception can be made to draw outdoors, but must be approved by us, well ahead of the event. Please contact us for special requests.
Do you draw full body poses?
Due to the additional time required to create each drawing, full body drawings are not typically drawn live at events. However, we sometimes honor this request, or also offer a package including pre-drawn poses and/ or backgrounds for themed events. See our packages and prices page for more information, or simply contact us, directly.
Does it cost extra to have color caricatures at my event?
There is no additional fee for spot-color, or full-color illustrations, however they require a bit of extra time to complete. We recommend hiring additional artists for this request, and adding extra hours, as needed.
If our event has a guest or guests of honor, such as at a Wedding or Birthday, can they be drawn ahead of time?
The bride and groom or other guest of honor are usually too busy with other guests and activities, to sit for a caricature. If you would like a pre-drawn caricature, please contact us to make arrangements for a gift illustration.
What is your pricing for events and commissions?
Price ranges for caricatures currently start at $150 per hour, per artist, depending on the type of service requested, and whether or not travel fees are required. We are based in South FL, and require a travel rate outside of an hour from our artists. We require a minimum of 2 hours for a booking, within an hour of each artist, and 3 or more hours, outside of the 1-hour distance. We currently serve Central to South Florida.
Do you require a deposit?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date. Upon signing the Event Service Agreement, 50% deposit is due. The balance is due 1-week prior to the event, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept a variety of payment options for your convenience. A refund or credit of the balance is only made in emergency situations. Please contact us directly, to discuss any potential extenuating circumstances.
Are there any additional fees if I book?
There is no additional charge for your guests, although tipping is permitted. Additional fees for travel, parking, or valet (if applicable) or event insurance will be included in your quote. Please contact us for more information.
What if I need an artist to stay longer than contracted?
If the artist is able/ available, overtime charges will apply in 1-hour increments at the contacted rate. Overtime payment must be paid directly to the artist at the conclusion of drawing time.
Do you travel out of state for events?
We occasionally travel out of state for events, with a minimum of 6 hours required for bookings. Please contact us for more information and artist availability.
